Use the app to connect the SPOT X to your smartphone via Bluetooth wireless technology and gain access to your contacts for easy communication with any mobile number or email address. SPOT X also has its own dedicated US mobile number so that you can be messaged directly as well. This device enables you to send an SOS to emergency services and communicate back and forth if necessary, plus receive confirmation that help is on the way. You can also check in regularly with your friends and family to let them know that you’re okay, and navigate using the built-in compass.

The illuminated keyboard makes it easy to use, it is impact and water-resistant to IP67, and for reliability has a rechargeable lithium battery with 240 hours (10 days) of battery life in 10-minute tracking mode. You can also track your progress at 2 ½, 5, 10, 30 or 60-minute intervals with cloud-based mapping, and link it to your SPOT account to share your adventure.
